SciComm At Sea!

It's been an absolutely amazing 7 days so far out at sea working with the team at OET. Not only have I had a chance to get hands-on with important research that's giving us the information we need to better protect the oceans, but I've also been providing our group of STEMSEAS students with some useful Science Communication lessons.

STEMSEAS is a program that exposes diverse students to the wonders of the ocean, by taking them on incredible expeditions at sea. The business side of scicomm was an area that I had to learn on my own as I navigated this crazy journey into science communication. It was an absolute joy to be able to provide the students with important tools, resources, and insight that they could use to help them elevate along their own path.
